RSS Content Digest

Read a public RSS feed, remove repeated links, and assemble a concise digest of recent posts.

Setup

  1. Download the workflow JSON from this page (or use workflow.json from the builder package), then choose n8n's Import from File command.
  2. Change the URL in ReadFeed to a public RSS feed you want to follow. Execute the workflow and inspect articles and digest. The example reads the official n8n blog. Connect your own email or chat node if you want delivery.
  3. Select Execute Workflow. The result is in ProcessData.

Behavior and limits

Includes up to ten posts, sorted by their feed dates, and deduplicates within the current run only. It does not remember previously sent posts, summarize with AI, or send notifications. Network or feed errors fail the run for review.

The supplied example needs no credentials. Any additional integration you connect requires its own configuration and tests.

Verification

Imported and executed successfully in an isolated n8n 2.44.5 instance on 2026-10-22. The live n8n blog RSS feed returned a ten-article digest. An unreachable feed stopped execution with a connection error.

Failures appear in the n8n execution view; this template does not send error alerts. Review the output before connecting downstream actions.
